Duties: I covered two Wisconsin counties as a general beat reporter for the daily newspaper along the Mississippi River. The 700-plus stories I wrote covered police, county government, river issues, agriculture and features. I also filled in as a copy editor, paginating pages on weekends about once a month and during staff vacations.
